I was the only kid I knew of growing up that had a single parent household with only a father. It never seemed all that strange and in so many ways it was always a great adventure with meals out almost every night, hours of video games at the grocery store, and listening to music at top volume just to check out some speakers. I know it must of been hard at times for my dad running a business and wondering how in the world to raise a girl but he always did his best and I know especially during those teen years I certainly didn't make it easy. Although we have had our moments over the years I wouldn't want to change a single thing. My father inspires me every day with his humor, intelligence, integrity, loyalty, and general dad know how. The polaroids above were taken on my 8th birthday and even now almost 30 years later you may not always see him but he is holding me up and supporting me every step of the way.
